About Us

Arncliffe Family Health Clinic is a modern family practice located in the centre of Arncliffe. We take pride in providing comprehensive health care services and friendly and caring staff.

We reside in what were once two separate dwellings, which were built in the early 1900s. Some patients will remember Dr’s Bennett, Musgrove and Wilson. They purchased these two properties in the early 1970s. They renovated them to house what is now the Arncliffe Family Health Clinic. Dr Angelo Mazzaferro bought the practice in 1996, and he and his wife Rosemarie, along with their five boys have been running it since.

Billing arrangements
We are a mixed billing practice. However, most children and pensioners are bulk billed. The receptionist will notify you of any fee applicable when you make an appointment. Most doctors charge a gap fee of between $17.80-$32.80. Vaccines and some procedures may have an out of pocket fee. If you are experiencing financial hardship, please speak to your treating doctor. We accept cash, credit card and EFTPOS.

Telephoning your doctor
Although most problems are best addressed within a consultation, a doctor will always be available during regular surgery hours for emergency advice. Our staff are experienced in helping you decide whether the matter requires an appointment, a return phone call from the practice or urgent advice.

Test results
Results are reviewed by the doctors and acted on promptly with your health in mind. If you haven’t already made a follow-up appointment for test results, we will contact you if the doctor requires a consultation time to see you and discuss these results.

Reminder System
Our practice is committed to preventative care. Therefore we may send you an occasional health reminder regarding health services appropriate to your care. If you wish to opt-out of this, please let us know.

Patient Feedback
If you are unhappy with any aspect of the practice, we are keen to know about it. Feel free to talk to the doctor or receptionist about any problems you have with our service. We believe that issues are best dealt with within the practice. However, if you feel that there is a problem you wish to take up outside, you may prefer to contact the Health Care Complaints Commission on 1800 043 159
